Ergonomic Keyboard
Like all ergonomic equipment, there are a huge number of different type and styles of keyboards.
There are some simple guidelines when setting up your keyboard
- Make sure that the keyboard is placed directly in front of you. Don’t overreach for the keyboard as this will place strain through your shoulders
- Your elbows should be relaxed and close to your body
- Your keyboard should not be placed up at an angle – this will cause strain through the wrist area – your wrists should be in neutral
- When you are typing, don't 'bash' the keys. Gently press them down
